As the lucky winners of The Big Shout competition, Hunter Valley Vineyard, Hanging Tree Wines (HTW) received $10,000 worth of creative services from KO Studio to help elevate their brand position in the wine industry.
The HTW team decided to focus their winnings on enhancing their digital presence in the market.
In such a saturated market, elevating the HTW brand positioning in the Hunter Valley is no easy feat, especially when your vineyard is ‘off the beaten track’.
However, the team shared some valuable insights about their customers:
- After discovering Hanging Tree Wines for the first time visitors instantly fell in love with the place.
- They almost always returned.
- They LOVED telling their friends about ‘the hidden gem’ they found in the Hunter Valley.
With this juicy intel in mind, the solution was obvious. To capture magic of ‘The cellar door experience’ and replicate it online.
Our primary objectives for the project were:
- Increase brand awareness
- Increase wine club memberships
- Increase bookings for the Homestead
- Increase cellar door visitation
- Share ongoing events and increase visitation
- Improve Direct to Customer (DTC) Sales
- Increase tourism for the Hunter Valley
In addition, we needed some new brand photography to use across the website, communications and social media channels. So, we brought in some creative big guns to further elevate and capture the beauty of the vineyard, the cellar door and the homestead. Photographer Zoe Lonergan and stylist, Tasha Ireland were an absolute dream to work with, bringing our vision for Hanging Tree Wines to life!
KO studio have transformed Hanging Tree Wines digital presence, delivering a diverse and flexible suite of digital assets for the team to use for their online activity. This branded suite of assets included website promotion tiles, social media templates, eNewsletter, event invitations, ePublication, digital banners, brochures, flyers, iconography, and a stunning library of photography.
The HTW team were going to need to manage their online communications autonomously, after our hand-over. Therefore, it was important the team felt confident working with the assets we had developed for them. We set up all branded templates in Canva and ran a ‘how-to-use-Canva’ workshop with the HTW team. They felt excited and confident about implementing and managing their evolved brand straight away – without a Designer on hand.
